Liposuction – Liposculpture – Lipoaspiration
Liposculpture is the most performed aesthetic surgery procedure in the world. It involves sculpting the silhouette to improve its harmony in a lasting way. It concerns the entire body, both for women and men.
Some areas of the body have fat deposits that resist all diets, sports, and various "gentle" methods.
Dr. Zirak, after a precise examination of your silhouette and the quality of your skin, will determine whether liposculpture is indicated or not.
Note that smoking is prohibited three weeks before and three weeks after the operation.
TECHNIQUE
The procedure is performed under assisted local anesthesia and lasts between one and three hours depending on the number of areas to be treated. It is done on an outpatient basis, and the patient can go home after two to three hours.
Through small incisions of three to five millimeters, a solution based on saline, local anesthetic, and vasoconstrictor is injected into the area to be aspirated. Thanks to this infiltration, we reduce pain during the operation as well as blood loss.
The use of soft cannulas prevents any damage to important structures such as vessels or nerves.
All this significantly improves the patient's safety during the procedure.
POST-OPERATIVE CARE
After the operation, wearing a specially designed compression garment is mandatory for six weeks. This helps to limit post-operative edema (swelling) and homogenize the final result. Bruising will appear within the first few hours following the procedure. They disappear within two to three weeks.
Thanks to his philosophy of comprehensive care, Dr. Zirak will refer you to a specialized physiotherapist who will help you, through lymphatic drainage sessions, to have easier and shorter post-operative recovery.
Nevertheless, prescriptions for painkillers and antibiotics will be provided.
It is recommended not to engage in sports for three weeks, to stop working, and not to drive for one week.
RESULTS
Due to post-operative edema (swelling), the result is only visible after two to three weeks. The final result, however, is achieved after three to six months (complete resorption of the edema and recovery of tissue suppleness).
