Buttock Lift
Dr. Zirak tailors the surgical technique based on the imperfection and the desired outcome.
For mild to moderate ptosis as well as overly long buttocks, the inferior dermo-tuberal anchorage technique (DTA Lower Lifting) is used: a dermo-fat flap is securely attached to the ischial tuberosity, thereby pulling the infragluteal fold upwards.
For significant ptosis, the upper scar lifting technique will be proposed:
Dr. Zirak employs a modification of the technique by Claude Le Louarn and Jean François Pascal. Dr. Zirak's modifications allow for better internal rotation of mobilized tissues and improved projection of the upper two-thirds of the buttocks.
These procedures can be combined with the placement of gluteal implants within the gluteus maximus muscles.
These procedures are performed under outpatient disconnection.
- Post-operative pain is moderate and lasts two to three days.
- Redon drains are left in place for 48 hours.
- Sutures are removed after three weeks.
- Resumption of sports activities is allowed after six weeks.
