Dr. Zirak was trained by one of the masters of global microsurgery, Professor Willy Boeckx.

He obtained the university diploma in microsurgery from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2004.

From 2008 to 2014, he was in charge of the microsurgery course at CHU Brugmann as well as the microsurgery laboratory.

During this same period, he performed numerous reconstructive surgeries at this institution, both using conventional techniques and microsurgery.
