Post-Bariatric Surgery - Face
Excess weight causes stretching of the facial retaining ligaments and deterioration of the skin's intrinsic qualities. These, combined with fat loss, lead to tissue sagging, making the face appear more marked and/or aged.
The treatment involves a cervico-facial lift combined with lipofilling (injection of the patient's own fat). This procedure is performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Social downtime lasts about ten days. Sutures are removed after one week for those in front of the ear and after two weeks for those behind the ear.
The final result is achieved after three to six months. The result will last between 15 and 20 years, depending on your lifestyle and the intrinsic qualities of your skin.
Complications are extremely rare except in smokers and hypertensive patients. This procedure is not painful.
