Vaginoplasty

After one or more childbirths, the individual may feel a loosening of their vagina. Vaginoplasty helps restore some firmness by tightening the muscles.

The procedure is performed under sedation and lasts about an hour.

  • A rest period of three to four days is necessary after the procedure.
  • Intimate relations can resume four weeks after the operation.
  • A subsequent pregnancy is entirely possible.

In terms of complications, as with any other surgery, an infection or blood accumulation (hematoma) may occur. To reduce these risks, you will be asked to stop consuming Aspirin™ or anti-inflammatory drugs the week before the procedure. Quitting smoking is recommended three weeks before and three weeks after the surgery.
