PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma

(Platelet Rich Plasma) or Vampire Lift

We are in the field of regenerative medicine.

Indeed, with this procedure, we achieve tissue regeneration using the patient's own tissues.

"This medicine has completely revolutionized our practice."

Developed since the 1990s, autologous platelet concentrates are used to stimulate tissue repair by increasing the concentrations of platelet growth factors at the injection site, promoting tissue healing through fibroblast proliferation.

A blood sample is taken. The samples are centrifuged. The supernatant (plasma, which is the liquid fraction of blood) containing platelets and other nutrients is injected into the skin to improve its quality through a tissue regeneration process.

The autologous nature of this injection ensures perfect biocompatibility without the risk of pathogen transmission.

The principle of cellular regeneration

This technique utilizes the characteristics of plasma (the liquid fraction of blood) which contains nutrients, vitamins, and proteins essential for cell survival, as well as the regenerative and healing properties of platelets, during autologous injections free from the risk of rejection or allergy.

Platelets are activated through contact with the collagenous surface of the injection site. Their alpha granules release cytokines (growth factors such as PDGF-AB, TGF, IGF, or VEGF) that stimulate cell growth, neoangiogenesis, and collagen synthesis, thereby causing physiological cell repair.

Dr. Zirak's protocol

The treatment consists of three injections spaced one and a half months apart. Then a follow-up session can be done at six months.

Dr. Zirak performs intradermal injections under local anesthesia for optimal effectiveness.

The results only start to become visible from the second injection session.

To maintain the result, one or two maintenance sessions are necessary each year, depending on the patient's lifestyle (sun exposure, smoking habits, dietary and sleep hygiene) and the skin quality at the start of the treatment.

Indications and post-injection follow-up

There are numerous indications for PRP injection

  • Regeneration of the skin on the face, décolleté, or back of the hand
  • Reduction of fine lines and dark circles
  • Treatment of acne scars or traumatic scars
  • Treatment of baldness either as an exclusive treatment or in combination with hair implants
  • Enhancement of lipofilling results (autologous fat injections)
  • Vulvar rejuvenation
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Tendinitis
  • Chronic wounds

The aftermath of a Platelet-Rich Plasma injection is simple

  • Pinkish papules at the injection points may persist for a few hours
  • Some bruising may be visible a few days after the injection
  • A moderate forehead edema may appear during scalp injections and persist for a few days

Contraindications

  • Abnormal cell proliferation processes
  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Autoimmune disease
